In Pre-Production (scheduled to shoot Fall/Winter 2011)
PodCast Offs is a comedy web series created and developed by the writing team of Charlie and Douglas Breit. The series will be produced by Breit Idea Productions. Nate Horowitz has signed on to direct and Steve Kristof has signed on to be Director of Photography.
Series Synopsis
Gabe and Carson started a podcast with dreams of quitting their dead-end jobs and living a life of fortune and fame. They struggle to find an audience, but with their eye on the prize they continue on. One day, a little mishap changes their path forever and introduces them to a niche audience and a new following, including Madison. The duo quickly find they’ll need her help dealing with funding, sponsors, a fickle audience and Gabe’s nemesis, Todd, on their climb to the top.
Series Updates
- 4/20/2011: Putting the finishing touches on the scripts and planning a production meeting for next week. Did some location scouting last weekend as well. One location that plays prominently in this series is a bowling alley and that location has been found!
- 5/1/2011: First production meeting! It’s always exciting to kick off the production side of things – especially after spending a lot of time writing and re-writing.
